Property is subject to an "Open Space" easement with the Virginia Outdoors Foundation. House renovations and additions under the direction of Milton L. Grigg in 1937,1947 & 1955. He also designed the guest house, barn, formal gardens & landscape. Milton LaTour Grigg (1905-1982) is noted for his restoration consult on such properties as Colonial Williamsburg, Monticello & Montpelier. Most recently, the entire property was carefully renovated in 1999-2000 by the current owners. The house is heated with 2-zone hot water radiator system, and forced air from the family room to the laundry with a 3-zone cental air conditioning. There is synthetic rubber conglomerate, slate-style roof on main portion of manor house with standing steam metal on the W. side wing.
